Ugh don’t remind me of the frozen tundra. So happy it’s warm and I don’t have to spend 15 min layering before going to take pictures.

Glorious indeed! And reminding me that I need to find an AC asap. Those first sweltering nights in NYC are always rough.

it’s 505Turbeaux day! That’s it! FYI Absolutely nobody celebrates this day in Mexico. It’s referred to in the town of Puebla (where the events happened) as the battle at the bakery. French soldiers gave some people at a bakery a hard time and the people kicked them out eventually pushing the very very few soldiers out of the country. That’s it, no big deal. Even in Puebla people don’t really care much for the day lol :]

haha I did actually know that. Because I ran a Mexican restaurant in Denver and all my homies in the kitchen filled me in on it. It made it much more enjoyable to watch people act like idiots for no reason. 99 cent margaritas woooooooooooooooo

Oh wow cool! I recently visited the place where margaritas were invented. The Club Kentucky in Juarez. It’s about 200 yards from the border. Pretty much invented by a Texan. Also, burritos and chimichangas are 1000000% American lol :]
Oh well, America does have some reason to celebrate because it made it easier for them to push the wounded French out of most of Louisiana and upward.
Either way, it’s 505Turbeaux day whoooo!!!!!!!

haha all of this is truth. I was lucky enough to not only have the cooks make me all kinds of ethnic dishes, but I went to Guanajuato with them a few times and got to really see what it is like. Even tourists who go down there have no freaking clue if they are hitting the tourist spots. Margaritas and jose cuervo shots and chimis all day!
anyhow - woooooooo it’s 505 day!

The point is to get people to drink more, like St. Patrick's day here.
